Welcome to Puppetry Lab, where mistakes are magic

Day one will involve generating ideas and testing them out, experimenting with restrictions, and creating a story from a variety of starting points. There will be time to work on your/your companies ideas in a safe space, with like minded practitioners and an experienced director.

Day two will focus on devising for show development, forming detailed characters, creating scenes and dialogue, and discovering transitions. Participants are encouraged to bring their own ideas, stories, and/or puppets to experiment with. Companies will work together on their existing ideas, and individual participants will form a temporary company for the day, collaborating with like-minded practitioners.
