★★★★★  “This 50-minute show has a mesmerizing, illusory quality… it’s soothingly compelling – a harmonious shadow play of magic and myth .”  Time Out

Played out in the round and using an ancient Middle Eastern version of the text of Aladdin, Indefinite Articles will take your imagination on a walk to Baghdad and back. The story of a blessed and beautiful boy, who, through serendipity alone, ends up with a lamp-dwelling genie at his disposal, is told using haunting music, paper, water and oil in this bewitching shadow puppet show.

Age Guidance
The Magic Lamp is aimed at ages 5-11. Based on a traditional text and told with shadow puppetry, this is a bit darker than some familiar versions of Aladdin, and the story includes two deaths.
