Intermediate Puppetry Course
18 April - 20 June
18+
Our Intermediate Puppetry Course invites participants to explore thoroughly some of the most popular forms of contemporary puppetry. Each session of the ten-week term will build upon the fundamental principles of puppetry, culminating in a final sharing of work.
These sessions will leave participants with a knowledge of advanced techniques, confidence in handling animated objects and specialist skills for devising live performance with puppets. This course particularly focuses on Object Theatre, Marionettes, TV puppetry and multiple puppeteer puppets. Participants will also get the opportunity to put their design skills into practice through specific making sessions where they will learn how to create a head moving mechanism.
This course is ideally suited to those who want to continue to build their skills after completing our Puppetry Foundation Course. However, if you are a practiced performer who wants to work on their skill this course will also be suitable.

“The course was inspiring and engaging. I feel I have learnt a huge amount about the art of puppetry and have improved my own puppetry skills. Thanks to Oliver for being such a patient teacher”.
