Bring your youngest theatre goers to Angel’s Little Explorers and join us on a creative adventure through the alphabet with Rosa and the team at Little Angel Studios. A weekly sensory session for babies and toddlers encouraging freedom of expression to engage in play and explore the world around them with creativity, fun and a few puppets along the way.
What to Expect:
In our sessions we are passionate about high engagement between our expert team of early year’s theatre makers and you and your child. You will be welcomed with a personal check in from fox puppet friend, Krafty. We will then help to build your little one’s language skills by exploring the alphabet, using each letter to inspire a theme of the week.
Then comes the time to explore our world through music, storytelling, and lots of sensory play. At Little Angel, environmental sustainability is key, and that’s no different in our workshops. We use sustainable resources that are accessible and easy to recreate at home, enabling new forms of play for you and your child. We look to engage as many of the senses as possible in every session, from textures, to lights, to allergen safe food, to natural materials.
We champion that anyone can be a puppeteer, and anything can be a puppet, and that’s no different for our youngest audience members. Whether it’s bringing objects to life, playing with shadow and light, or using puppets from past LAT productions, we will introduce puppetry to your little ones in a gentle and fun way. We include elements of repetition so your Little Explorer gains confidence and knowledge, as well as introducing new objects for your child to engage with in a way that’s tailored to them.
What you will learn:
We aim for our sessions to be a relaxed, safe, inclusive place for all Little Explorers and their adults to come and engage in a way that is right for them. We value that every child is different, and encourage them to play and explore in their own way. Over the years, we have seen children who regularly come to our sessions grow in confidence, creativity, curiosity, and watched their social skills grow as they immerse themselves in sensory play. Each session is built with an understanding of early year’s development, and every object is picked to engage your child in a different way of building their personal skills. The classes are designed with a variety of ages in mind whilst each session will be geared towards the indicated ages, we will cater for siblings outside of that age group.
