Getting here
Wherever you can, we encourage you to walk, cycle or take public transport to our venues to help help save our planet, one visit at a time! Did you know that travelling by train has been shown to be one of the most environmentally friendly methods of transport, releasing 80% fewer greenhouse gasses per kilometre than cars?
By bus
To Upper Street alight at St.Mary’s Church: 4, 19, 30, 43, and 236a (Sundays only)
To Essex Road alight at Packington Street: 38, 56, 73, 341
For the Studios alight at Canonbury Grove: 271.
By tube
Nearest tube stations are Angel (Northern Line)/Highbury and Islington (Victoria Line).
Please note that the Northern Line (Bank branch) will be closed from January – May 2022. Visit TfL to find an alternative route.
By train
Travel by train to Essex Road or to Highbury and Islington.
By bike
There are cycle racks on Upper Street and Cross Street, both near the theatre and Studios. There is also a TfL Santander Cycles docking station on Islington Green, just a short walk from the theatre.
By car
Parking is notoriously difficult in Islington and we strongly suggest to all our visitors that the easiest way to get here is by public transport. However on Saturdays after 1.30pm, and Sundays all day, you can park on a single yellow line.
