IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD
‘ABOVE’ BY SPECTRUM YOUTH THEATRE
‘BELOW’ BY YOUTH THEATRE
Friday 23 March 7.30pm
Saturday 24 March 5.30pm
FOR AGE 9–ADULT
Little Angel’s youth theatre groups present their devised productions in a double bill evening, presenting ‘It’s Not the End of the World – ABOVE and BELOW’. The groups explore a post-apocalyptic world where civilization has moved underground and the human race entirely depend on technology.
Spectrum focus on the realms ABOVE, following a lost explorer who crash lands on the surface. Hoping to find the answers to some dangerous questions, our hero must choose who to trust and who to run from. Not all is as it appears in this wasteland that humans once called home.
Youth Theatre discover the technological world BELOW, where technology thinks for, looks after, and acts on behalf of humans. Watch the rebels try to break free of machinery’s rule, and see what happens when the technology in their underground world starts to break down.
Little Angel Youth Theatre has been running since 2007, and in 2014 we set up Spectrum Youth Theatre, for young people on the autistic spectrum. Both groups are unique in that they create plays with puppets that they have designed and made.
Little Angel Youth Theatre is led by Steph Withers, Participation Manager at Little Angel. Spectrum Youth Theatre is led by Dylan Tate, Director, and Ellie Mills, Designer.
