Summer Party

All ages welcome
FREE

Location: St. Mary’s Church Gardens (off Upper Street)

Our spectacular Summer Party is coming up on 15 September. As usual, there will be a puppet parade plus lots of activities inspired by the shows and characters we have coming up this season, and the ever popular cake stall.

There is no need to pre-book for the Summer Party, just drop in and enjoy the activities on offer.

There will be short performances running several times throughout the day, both in the church gardens and in the theatre auditorium. Here are some of the exciting acts we will have with us this year.

The Key in the Sea

Presented by Clogless Lobster.

Princess Brunhilde runs away from home and has to spend the night in an old tower by the sea, not knowing that a greedy sea monster would like to have her as a snack. Knut, a courageous fisherman, finds a bottle with Brunhilde’s shriek for help. But who will eventually be the hero of the day?

The Key in the Sea is a low-tech performance with high imagination, suitable for children aged 3+.

Don Quixote

Presented by Seb Mayer.

The famous Spanish knight, Don Quixote, needs your help to rid the world of evil. But when his mortal enemy turns up, El Caballero de La Luna, the Don must face his greatest challenge yet… and things are not all as they seem. This wild adventure combines giant puppetry, mythical beasts, a gigantic sword duel, and the imaginative powers of the audience to bring Cervantes’ classic character crashing into the 21st century. Suitable for ages 5+.
