Getting here

Wherever you can, we encourage you to walk, cycle or take public transport to our venues to help help save our planet, one visit at a time! Did you know that travelling by train has been shown to be one of the most environmentally friendly methods of transport, releasing 80% fewer greenhouse gasses per kilometre than cars?

By bus
To Upper Street alight at St.Mary’s Church: 4, 19, 30, 43, and 236a (Sundays only)
To Essex Road alight at Packington Street: 38, 56, 73, 341
For the Studios alight at Canonbury Grove: 271.

By tube
Nearest tube stations are Angel (Northern Line)/Highbury and Islington (Victoria Line).

Please note that the Northern Line (Bank branch) will be closed from January – May 2022. Visit TfL to find an alternative route.

By train
Travel by train to Essex Road or to Highbury and Islington.

By bike
There are cycle racks on Upper Street and Cross Street, both near the theatre and Studios. There is also a TfL Santander Cycles docking station on Islington Green, just a short walk from the theatre.

By car
Parking is notoriously difficult in Islington and we strongly suggest to all our visitors that the easiest way to get here is by public transport. However on Saturdays after 1.30pm, and Sundays all day, you can park on a single yellow line.

Persephone - a Tale of the Seasons (performance for toddlers)

Persephone - a Tale of the Seasons (performance for toddlers)

Join Persephone and her animal friends as they guide you and your babies through the changes in nature…

Fly with a spring butterfly, as the plants begin to grow, the birds build their nests and the days get longer – will there be an April shower? Hop through the meadow with a summer rabbit, watching the flowers bloom and feel the heat of the sun. See the leaves change colour and fall to the ground as our autumnal squirrel stores his winter nuts. Hear the robin chirp a merry tune, as it gets colder and the days draw in. Which animals hibernate? And will you be able to catch a snowflake on your tongue?

Aimed at ages 18 months – 3 years

The Everywhere Bear

The Everywhere Bear

The Everywhere Bear has a wonderful time with the children in Class One, but one day he gets more than he bargained for when he falls unnoticed from a backpack and embarks on his own big adventure! He’s washed down a drain and whooshed out to sea, rescued by a fishing boat, loaded onto a lorry, carried off by a seagull… how will he ever make it back to Class One?

Aimed at ages 3 - 8 years

Medusa's First Kiss

Medusa's First Kiss

Medusa has just started at Olympus High. Look, there’s sports star Atlas out on the field, Aphrodite cheerleading from the side, goth Persephone hanging out by the school gates and don’t forget mysterious school-witch Circe... Maybe this is the school where Medusa will finally learn how to fit in. But soon enough she’s out with the gods, as mean girl Athena writes a load of nasty words on her locker and even her own snakes-for-hair decide to give her the cold shoulder. She’s on her own.

Will she ever find friends, let alone love? And who will help her along the way?

For everyone over 10
