About Creative Learning
Little Angel Theatre’s Creative Learning department exists to provide puppetry participation, education and training projects for people of all ages, experience levels and backgrounds, whether their interest is for fun, as part of an educational project, or as part of their professional development. Through our Creative Learning programme, we aim to enable artistry, encourage personal development and ensure equality of access, whilst demystifying the art form of puppetry and broadening its reach.
Each year, our team delivers hundreds of high quality workshops to participants of all ages and backgrounds – from teachers and school classes learning how to make puppets, to creative professionals developing their skills; from 2 year olds having their first taste of craft activities, to young people working with industry professionals to create dramatic new puppetry performances.
We offer a range of standard and bespoke workshops and projects in all kinds of settings, which introduce participants to all aspects of puppet making, performance and craft. In addition, our ongoing courses and classes programme, delivered in our Creative Learning Centre in Islington provides opportunities to hundreds of Children, Young people and adults to work with respected professionals and develop their skills and experience in a unique environment.
“Can there be a more educative performing arts venue in London, given that Little Angel does education and training at so many levels? … Learning and development at every level. Deeply inspiring and something which many another small venue could emulate”. Susan Elkin, The Stage, 2009
