Found Objects and Animating Environments with Live Music (Online)
With Laura Cubitt
Tuesdays, 27 April – 18 May, 7 – 8.30pm
About the course
This four week course offers the chance to explore found objects as a journey into exploring a variety of styles of puppetry and techniques for making visual theatre. Laura will guide you through a free form approach to puppetry manipulation, engaging with objects, swift paper ‘makes’ and using music as a key instigator. You will work in broad strokes to explore ideas, animate worlds and look at bringing various beings to life. In addition to Laura, participants in this course will have the opportunity to work with a live musician in one of the sessions. This course is perfect for any level of experience and is an opportunity to indulge in the joy of bringing the inanimate to life.
We will provide you with a short materials list on signing up of things you will need and objects to bring along. These will all be easily sourced and mostly found around the house.
This workshop will be delivered via Zoom. Download our Zoom Policy here.
