Our impact

Every donation makes a difference!

Here are some examples of the work that have been made possible because of fundraising.

Community

Community is at the heart of Little Angel Theatre and we are proud to run a number of wonderful free activities and events for our very local residents in and around Sebbon Street, wider Islington residents and partner organisations.

Puppets for all

We feel passionately that theatre should be accessible to everyone, so we offer free tickets through our Puppets-for-All (PFA) scheme.

We give out over 2,000 tickets per annum (over 3% of our tickets) through the scheme, partnering with schools, community groups and our PFA mailing list to distribute.

Do contact us through the link above if you think you could benefit from the scheme.

Our environmental responsibility

We must not only do everything possible to reduce our environmental impact but also inform our audiences about the ongoing climate crisis.

At LAT, we aim to ignite the imaginations of the youngest minds and we want you to join us in our fight against climate change. We all have the power to create change, no matter how big or how small.

Suitcase Shows

Suitcase Theatre is set of small scale, co-created theatre shows that fit into a suitcase and travel to children and families who cannot easily visit the theatre – all developed with participants and artists to ensure authenticity and agency. A common theme through the projects is an encouragement of connection, from isolated elderly care home residents with dementia, to newly arrived refugee families and critically ill children bound to their high dependency wards.

Women’s projects

Over the last three years we have run several projects with Women’s refuges.

Over a period of six weeks in February and March 2021, Little Angel Theatre ran two online courses making talking sock puppet making workshops with women and their children, in partnership with Solace Women’s Aid. You can see the video of the project with Solace, here.

Making Me Heal

This project allows women with experience of domestic violence to co-create a short shadow puppetry film together in a safe and supportive environment. Delivered in partnership with Nia, this special project enables women to connect with others and explore their creativity, supporting their process of healing through storytelling.

Chance UK

In February and March 2021 Little Angel Theatre collaborated with Chance UK to deliver online child-centred shadow puppetry workshops for children aged 5-10 and their families.
