We have an exciting opportunity for a committed, enthusiastic and versatile technician to join Little Angel Theatre’s production team. It offers the right candidate the chance to grow and develop their technical and venue management skills in a busy and ambitious producing and receiving venue, as well as supporting our touring work. The successful candidate will work closely with both visiting and in-house companies to provide high quality, all-round technical and administrative support.

Volunteering, Internships and Work Experience

We aim to offer work experience or placement opportunities to students in further or higher education as part of their course or study programme where possible.  We are unable to offer internships or work experience to anyone outside of a formal education programme however we welcome applications from volunteers who play an integral part in supporting our work.  More details about all of these areas can be found below.

Further/Higher Education Placements

We work closely with drama schools and universities to ensure opportunities for young people to gain professional experience in the industry. We offer a limited number of placements in multiple departments for further or higher education students. These placements are offered based on the needs of the team and are subject to our schedule of programming and projects happening at the time of application.

To submit a request for a Further/Higher Education Placement at Little Angel Theatre please complete an online form.  Forms should be submitted at least one term (or approx 3 months) ahead of the placement start date.  Once you have submitted your form we will get back to you to let you know if any opportunities are available.  Please allow at least 2 weeks for a response.  You can also access the form by following the link here:  Work Placement Request Form

Schools Work Experience

We are unable to offer school work experience to Year 10 or 11 pupils unless they have a direct link with the theatre via our Youth Board, Youth Theatre or Spectrum Youth Theatre.

Our Youth Board is made up of a group of young people interested in theatre or puppetry as an art form and who want to learn more about the jobs involved in keeping a theatre running.  Our Youth Board also work with us to help inform programming and decision making from a young person’s point of view.

Volunteers are of vital importance to keep the theatre running smoothly.  Jobs that require volunteers include marketing and events, technical theatre support, fundraising and education workshop assistance.
